PENNY LANE VINTAGE HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions apply to Penny Lane Vintage Hire only and by placing an order you agree to the following terms and conditions.

 

Hire Period

The hire period for all items (excluding photo booths) supplied by Penny Lane Vintage Hire will be 1-4 days. Any extension to the hire period must be agreed with Penny Lane Vintage Hire. Please ask for a quotation for longer periods of hire.

Penny Lane Vintage Hire agrees to hire the items to the customer for the period of hire stated in the contract.

The items shall at all times remain the property of Penny Lane Vintage Hire. The customer is solely responsible for the items during the hire period from the time of delivery/collection until the items are collected/returned and accepted back into the possession of Penny Lane Vintage Hire.

Delivery and Collection

On receipt of the items, the customer shall inspect all items and sign the Penny Lane Vintage Hire delivery note. Any shortage or damage must be notified by the customer on the delivery note at the time of delivery. If the customer fails to do this, the items will be deemed to have been delivered in a clean and undamaged condition. Equally, if there is no-one available to check the items, they will be deemed to have been delivered in a clean and undamaged condition.

At the end of the hire period, the items should be securely packed as found and ready for collection by Penny Lane Vintage Hire, or returned to Penny Lane Vintage Hire. If Penny Lane Vintage Hire deems this order is not safe for transit and has to re-pack, this will incur an additional charge of 15% of the total hire charge.

Caravan Photo Booth

Due to the age and value of the caravan, there are strict guidelines that must be adhered to. There should never be more than 6 people in the caravan at one time. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and there is strictly no food or drink allowed inside the caravan.

Terms of Payment

A non refundable deposit of 50% of the total hire charge will be required to secure your booking. This will secure all items you have specified on your order. The final balance must be paid 28 days prior to your event.

A £100 refundable damage deposit will be required when the final balance is paid and will be returned once your order has been checked for any damage or loss. We will inform you within 5 working days if there is any damage or loss to your order.

Certain items may require a different damage deposit, in such cases the damage deposit will be specified on the quotation and/or invoice. Please note that the damage deposit for the caravan photo booth is £250.

Loss or damage to any items will be charged at 5 times the hire charge and deducted accordingly from the damage deposit. If you break or damage more items than the damage deposit covers, we will invoice you for any extra cost and this must be paid within 10 working days.

Damage deposits will be returned in full within 10 working days or minus deductions for breakages or loss.

Cancellation

If the customer wishes to cancel the order, Penny Lane Vintage Hire must be notified in writing.

The following cancellation charges will apply:

Notice given prior to an event:

More than 30 days – 50% of total charge
15-29 days – 75% of total charge
Under 14 days – 100% of total charge

Liability

Penny Lane Vintage Hire will accept no responsibility for damage or injury to persons or property as a result of this hire arrangement.

In any event the limit of Penny Lane Vintage Hire’s liability will not exceed the hire contract value.

Penny Lane Vintage Hire have full Public Liability Insurance.

Insurance

For your peace of mind we strongly recommend that you take out suitable insurance as all items are the responsibility of the hirer until collected by/returned to Penny Lane Vintage Hire. Any loss, damage or breakage will be charged accordingly.
